BEROCCA

Ok, so I’ve been taking this multi-vitamins called Berocca for three days now and I said that I wouldn’t really blog about it not until at least a week, but what can I say, I’m impressed. Being the sleepy head and the sakitin that I am, I’ve always been in the out, searching for the perfect vitamins or food supplement that can help boost my immune system. With the work schedule that I have which is less than the normal and the little amount of sleep I get plus yeah, there’s smoking and occasional drinking too, I know that it’s either I do away from my vices or improve my health. I know it’s too early to do the verdict but out of all the vitamins that I have tried I would definitely vouch for Berocca. I don’t feel too tired and I’m alive than the usual sleepy me.
Here below is the composition of the product:

What's in Berocca

  • Vitamin B complex
  • Vitamin C
  • Biotin

  • Calcium

Magnesium works with B vitamins to help your body release energy from food, and keep your nervous system and muscles working properly. Helps you release energy from food. http://www.berocca.com/en/whats-the-secret-of-berocca/index.php B vitamins help your body release energy from food to support vitality and stamina. They're important for your nervous system as they carry information to and from your brain.
Check their website:

Upon checking their website, I learned that there are two types of the product:
  1. Berocca Performance
  2. Berocca Boost
What I’m currently taking is the first one and no wonder I can feel the effect in just three days because it was designed to work that way. Clinically proven, Berocca Performance keeps you on your game and combats physical tiredness. Its unique combination of B vitamins, vitamin C and essential minerals, like calcium, magnesium and zinc, works in synergy to improve your brain and nerve performance throughout the day. What’s more, with only good stuff in, you can trust Berocca Performance to deliver – and set you up so you’re one step ahead every day.

I know that when it comes to vitamins or any medications, a doctor’s prescription is still best to be followed than just a blog about it. This is something that I wanted to share since I’m really happy with the effects. I can now perform better at work and still do post-work activities since it reduces stress, boosts the immune system and gives more energy. It goes for around 170php+ for 10 effervescent tablets, just dissolve in a glass of water and you’re good to go! It tastes really good too! J

Used Coffee Grounds

I bumped into one of my colleagues during our yosi break and he had this plastic bag full of “used coffee grounds” from Starbucks. I didn’t really pay that much of attention until he said that he was to use it for his kid who at that time was sick. As a mom, I couldn’t help not get interested since it’s the first time I’ve ever heard of coffee grounds being used for sick kids. So to dig deeper, I asked more about it and got really excited with the information he gave me. According to him, he’s been doing it for a long time now, whenever his kid gets sick he’d drop by Starbucks to get those coffee grounds, brings it back home and he then would use it to massage his kid’s back (I keep on saying kid, cuz I forgot to ask if he has little girl or boy). Not knowing anything about the stuff, I asked for the price just to find out that it’s actually for free and that there is a specific section/corner in Starbucks or any coffee shop that has it. I don’t why I never knew about it guess I wasn’t paying  attention to those things and really, it’s for free? I thought everything has a price nowadays even the used stuff.

So after discovering about this which I think is not only cool but could be really helpful, I decided to research more about it and to my surprise there’s actually more than just a benefit from it. Used coffee grounds can be used in a lot of other ways too! Check it out!

(When I googled about it, it came up with a lot of entries but I decided to go with this one.)

Top 10 Uses For Used Coffee Grounds

10. Deodorizer. Dry them out on a cookie sheet and then put them in a bowl in your refrigerator or freezer, or rub them on your hands to get rid of food prep smells.
9. Plant food. Plants such as rosebushes, azaleas, rhododendrons, evergreen and camellias that prefer acidic soils will appreciate the leftovers from your morning cup. Also, grounds can add nutrients to your compost bin.
8. Insect repellant. Sprinkle old grounds around places you don’t want ants, or on the ant piles themselves. The little buggers will move on or stay away. Used grounds are also said to repel snails and slugs.
7. Dye. By steeping grounds in hot water, you can make brown dye for fabric, paper and even Easter eggs.
6. Furniture scratch cover-up. Steep grounds and apply a bit of the liquid to furniture scratches with a Q-tip.
5. Cleaning product. As they’re slightly abrasive, grounds can be used as a scouring agent for greasy and grimy stain-resistant objects.
4. Kitty repellent. To keep kitty from using the garden as her personal powder room, sprinkle grounds mixed with orange peels around your plants.
3. Flea dip. Follow up Fido’s shampoo with a coffee ground rub down, working them down to his skin. Not only are the fleas suppose to vamoose, but puppy’s hair will feel soft too.
2. Dust inhibitor. Before you clean out the fireplace, toss wet coffee grounds over the ashes to keep the ash dust under control.
And, finally, the #1 use for used coffee grounds....drum roll here....
Cellulite reducer. Mix 1/4 cup warm, used coffee grounds and 1 tablespoon of olive oil. While standing over an old towel or newspaper, apply the mixture to your "problem areas". Next, wrap the areas with shrink wrap and leave on for several minutes. Unwind the wrap, brush loose grounds off your skin and then shower with warm water. For best results, it is recommended to repeat this procedure twice a week. A little weird to be sure, but as high priced cellulite creams have coffee in them, it just might work.
Hell yeah! Isn’t number 1 the most interesting? Haha! I know! And what makes it more interesting is the fact that you can get it for free!!! So there, as much as it fascinated me I hope it does the same for you and hope it helps! For more info, you can read through this source: http://www.curbly.com/users/diy-maven/posts/1881-top-10-uses-for-used-coffee-grounds Reading the comments makes it twice the fun cuz apart from the 10 uses we have here the list just goes on and on. Seems like there are actually a lot of people who finds it useful.

Lesson learned: Next time I drop by Starbucks, I might just get myself a bag of used coffee grounds! J

How do you find your passion?

How do you find your passion?
There comes a point in our life when we question the career that we have. We ask ourselves if we are at the right job, doing the right thing. Well, that's exactly what i'm going through right now. (Disclaimer: I do not intend for this blog to turn into a hate blog full of rants.) I'm just thinking maybe there's someone out there who is going through the same phase right now.

I am thankful that I have a job that helps me support my family most especially my baby boy. It's not just plain luck that got me into this prestigious company that may not have the best compensation and benefits but sure is better than other companies. But at the end of the day, I ask myself.. Is it really just money that drives me to work? I try to think of some other things that serve as motivation for me but sadly, apart from 1. my friends 2.the pay 3.the really cozy facilities and 4. the stability of the institution, there's nothing else that I could think of. I know that the factors mentioned above should be good enough but for someone as adventurous and ambitious as i am, i just feel like, there should be more to this than just this. I am not complaining, as I have mentioned earlier I am really thankful but wouldn't it be nice if you go home with a smile on your face and a satisfaction that you were to do something involving your skills and talent? I guess.. I just answered my question.. I need a job that is less than a job and more of a passion.

But just how exactly do you find your passion. Btw, to lessen the confusion, i work in a call center. And there's nothing wrong with working in a call center.. it's just not me. I have taken three courses already from Broadcasting to Associate in Arts to Information Technology with the hope that i may be close in discovering just exactly what it is that i wish to do. But i end up getting frustrated because i just can't feel the fire with any of those courses that I have taken. I've turned into blogging thinking this might help me in finding what it is that i wish to pursue in life.. I know i'm getting there.. i know it's a long process.. i'm just scared that i'm wasting my years settling for less.

For the year 2012, i plan on trying things that I have never did before. Maybe in the process of knowing more people and going to different places i might just find the answers to my never-ending questions. Who knows, maybe it's just there in front of me and i can't see it yet.. Or maybe i need to know myself more to realize where i excel, what my skills are. So far, blogging gives me bliss. It's pretty healthy and it keeps me sane from the stress of the real world. Or maybe, you're reading this right now.. and you know how it feels.. and maybe you can help me solve the riddle.

So.. it all boils down to one question: How do you find your passion?

happy birthday Hayley!

Oh wow! My first ever blog is a tribute to my girl crush/ super idol Hayley Williams. It's her 23rd birthday today! And oh, we share the same birth month and birth year, ain't that cool?
Actually, this entry is just a trial. I am still exploring the wonders of blogging. As it is my goal for 2012 to be a professional blogger, i know i have to be fully knowledgeable about the ins and outs of cultivating this cyber space. I am so excited to learn a lot of things and hopefully I'll do good.

So yeah, going back to the heart of this first blog, Miss Hayley- I've actually been a fan of Paramore for a few years now. I like how their genre perfectly suits my style. I am a certified music-lover and i am open to the diversities of music though i should say that i'm mostly drawn to anything rock 'en roll/metal and triphop/elektonica. But that doesn't, in any way, limit my love and interest for music.

The first track I heard from them is "Misery Business" which if my memory serves me right, I heard from a FM station. Initially, i thought they were a girl group, turns out that Hayley is actually the rose among the thorns. What i love the most is that this group is a stack of REALLY talented kiddos. Hayley, nevertheless has an undeniably powerful vocals which makes her every bit of a rockstar. And so the list goes on.. on why i like Hayley and the boys.

Oh well, i hope they never get tired of creating good music. And i will continue on in supporting them for as long as they don't promote drugs among the youth. Lol And to my dearest Hayley, happy birthday! Hopefully someday, I get to sing as good as you do. Haha! oh well, it's 5:00 in the morning and my lil kid (who is also a Paramore fan) is bugging me to go sleep with him, impromptu. It's time for some ZZzzzzs now, catch ya later!
